Jelena Dokic will meet British No.1 Elena Baltacha in the opening round of the Moorilla Hobart International with the names slotted into the draw this afternoon.
Dokic and Baltacha last met at Wimbledon in 2003 with Dokic triumphing in three sets.
Baltacha won through qualifying today with a convincing win over Anna Chakvetadze and is coming into the tournament following her best year on the tour, sitting at a career high 84 in the world.
“I’m looking forward to it, it will be a good match,” Dokic said.
“We’ve played once before but it was a long time ago at Wimbledon. It’s tough sometimes to play a qualifier as they have a few matches under their belt, but it will be good to play her again.
Sydney’s Sophie Ferguson has drawn Kirsten Flipkens from Belgium, who today knocked out Moorilla Hobart International defending champion Petra Kvitova.
Russian Alla Kudryavtseva will meet fellow Russian Ekaterina Makarova, and Tamira Paszek will face Roberta Vinici.
