Jelena Dokic and Alicia Molik will headline play at the Moorilla Hobart International tomorrow, with fellow Australians Sophie Ferguson and Olivia Rogowska also in action.
Melanie Oudin and Sara Errani will kick off the action on centre court at 11:00 am followed by Dokic who takes on Elena Baltacha.
Rogowska, third up on centre court, has the toughest assignment on paper facing second seed Shahar Peer.
“I’m feeling pretty good but it’s a going to be a tough match tomorrow, she’s (Peer) No.30 in the world and has been playing really well lately,” Rogowska said.
“I’ve got nothing to lose so I’ll just go out there, stay positive and play tough. I’ve been training really hard and I feel like I’m hitting the ball well so I’m just excited about the match.”
Sophie Ferguson will be the first Aussie on court, leading the action on Court 1 at 11:00 am.
Ferguson, currently ranked 147 in the world, takes on Belgian qualifier Kirsten Flipkens (81).
Molik faces former doubles partner, Sania Mirza, in the first night match of the tournament, with play getting underway at 7:00 pm.
The pairs last and only meeting was at the Moorilla Hobart International in 2007 with Mirza winning the clash in straight sets.
“I’m really excited to be back, and looking forward to playing at night again, I won the first night final here in 2003 and enjoy playing under lights. The atmosphere here in Hobart is always fantastic so it should be a great match,” Molik said.
