Former world No.8 Alicia Molik (AUS) will headline a full schedule of second round matches on day four of the Moorilla Hobart International.
The former champion will open proceedings on Centre Court against the dangerous No.7 seed Sara Errani (ITA), and will aim to build upon her impressive form in the opening round.
British star Elena Baltacha will resume her match against No.4 seed Roberta Vinci (ITA), with the Italian winning the first set 6-3 before rain suspended play.
“The rain made it a tough day for everyone, but coming from the UK you kind of get used to these conditions,” Baltacha said.
“I look forward to coming back tomorrow and giving it another crack.”
After a formidable display against former world No.1 Dinara Safina (RUS) in the first round, top seed Marion Bartoli (FRA) will expect a tough battle against the talented Elena Vesnina of Russia in the night match.
Bartoli and Vesnina have faced each other on four occasions since 2005, with honours shared between the two players.
In other second round matches, No.5 seed Klara Zakopalova (CZE) will be in action against Alberta Brianti (ITA) while Hopman Cup winner Bethanie Mattek-Sands (USA) and Ayumi Morita (JPN) will conclude the day session on Centre Court.
Australian rising stars Sally Peers and Olivia Rogowska will also enjoy the support of a home crowd when they face top seeds Meghann Shaughnessy (USA) and Mattek-Sands in the pick of day four’s doubles matches.
