The fun prediction game Pick ‘Em returns this month, giving tennis fans an extended chance to test their on-court expertise over Australia’s summer of tennis.
Starting at this month’s Brisbane International, Pick ‘Em invites participants to select the winners of feature matches each day; the better their picking prowess, the higher their ranking on the all-important Pick ‘Em leaderboard.
Entrants can create their own leaderboards, share their results on Facebook and check their global ranking via Pick ‘Em’s online Olympic Games-style medal tally.
This summer the competition will span three Australian Open Series events – the Brisbane International (30 December –6 January), Apia International Sydney (6–12 January) and Moorilla Hobart International (4–12 January) – before the action hits Melbourne Park for Australian Open 2013 (14–27 January).
Prizes will be awarded to the highest-ranked Pick ‘Em player each day, as well as the winner of each Australian Open Series event and Australian Open 2013.
Fans are welcome to enter Pick ‘Em at any stage throughout the summer, but early entrants will stand a greater chance of taking home the big prizes. And, when Australian Open 2013 gets underway on 14 January, Australian Open Series participants will have the inside tip on the players’ form coming into the first Grand Slam of the year.
Each day’s Pick ‘Em matches will be emailed to participants by 6.00am AEDST, with points to be awarded based on the value of that day’s play. A tiebreaker question will be used to resolve deadlocks between entrants at the end of each day.
Australian Open 2013 daily winners will claim a tournament prize pack, and the overall winner will score a money-can’t-buy framed photograph and camera plate signed by a top 10 player.
Pick ‘Em is now open for registrations, with first picks to be submitted by 28 December in time for the Brisbane International.
The Brisbane International field features a world class line-up of local and international stars, including Francesca Schiavone (ITA), Sorana Cistea (ROU), Su-Wei Hsieh (TPE), Yaroslava Shedova (KAZ), (DEN), Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (RUS) and Mona Barthel (GER)
Who do you think will come out tops each day?
