After scoring her first WTA main draw win yesterday, Australian wildcard Jaimee Fourlis spent this morning relaxing at Hobart’s picturesque Constitution Dock.
The 18-year-old enjoyed an ice-cream from Van Diemens Land Creamery, a reward for an impressive first round victory over Serbian qualifier Nina Stojanovic.

Milestones have been piling up for the Melbourne teenager in recent months, having just completed year 12 and winning the 18 and under Australian Championships in December. Victory in that event earned her an Australian Open wildcard.
“It’s been pretty full on,” she said.
This is the No.310-ranked teen’s second WTA main draw appearance, having made her debut at this level at last year’s Hobart International.
“I’m just taking it one match at a time. I didn’t even look past the first round,” she said.
“But to get my first WTA win was unbelievable. I was honestly just over the moon to win a match.”
Can she make it two? Fourlis believes she can.
Waiting in the second round is Hobart International 2015 champion Heather Watson, a qualifier this year who upset No.3 seed Sorana Cirstea.
“She’s a great player, solid off both sides,” Fourlis said of the match-up.
“She’s had a pretty good career so far, so I’ll really have to play smart tennis, knuckle down and give it all I’ve got.”
